Elephant with Fire Torch (With Gold Thread)

This painting displays a single elephant carrying a fire torch. This elephant is an integral part of the famous Kandy Perahera procession of Sri Lanka.

After this has been painted, it has been left to dry and then the painting has been delicately outlined with gold thread stitching to give it a vibrant and glamorous look.

This painting is created on cotton material and is exclusively hand made with the use of dyes and wax. The traditional hand made Batik technique makes each painting unique in it's colour combination and design.
